Website review of www.SavingForAWedding.com.Many financially aware people create blogs to track their financial progress and help others do the same. I do believe that publishing your goals helps you into achieving them – if your conscience is not enough, make others be your conscience as well.

Tanner and Lacey are saving for a wedding. Their goal is $5,000, which is about the same amount that my wife and I spent on ours. A price point that is not as exaggerate as what the media publishes as the average wedding price tag of $30,000 to $40,000 but still allows for a nice wedding where you have your closest friends and family members share a moment on which you legalize your union.

The site shows interesting articles about budgeting for the wedding, frugally purchasing wedding goods and services, tips on how to increase savings, and even loosing weight so you can look your best on the special day (and with a healthier lifestyle, you will spend less on medical costs).

Some things I would like to see on their website is:

  • Premarital agreements.
  • Separate and joint accounts.
  • After marriage budgeting.
  • Making sure they are debt-free before marriage.
  • After marriage tax differences (are the saving or spending more)?

Good luck on their wedding.
