Every year I have been posting Financial Resolutions. This keeps me honest with what I say I will do. I am a strong believer that you should share your goals and objectives with your friends: as they will hold you against them and will nag you until you finish them (your real friends anyways).

2007 Financial Resolution Scorecard
Resolution Score Narrative
Change Jobs or Go into Consulting
Outstanding Did both. I did went into consulting two times. One into Australia for two months. Then tried working full time again Packetfront, Inc. for four months and decided that my life had been changed in Australia forever. I am independent again now doing contracts for big telecommunication companies.
Cash Only
Partial Credit The world is moving cash-less and I was moving into paper. Carrying a pack of cash is not too practical, especially when you are trying to start a business and have all those business expenses. I have decided to keep 9 months of living expenses in the bank instead — and achieved it.
$10,000/yr of Dividend Income
Outstanding $15,580 surpasses that goal. Maybe I overdid it.
6 month Emergency Fund
Outstanding Reached 9 month.
Will, Living Will, Durable Power of Attorney, Health Proxy Done Quicken Will Maker helped a lot!

I believe in sharing the news of my success (or failure) with Financial Resolutions. It keeps me honest. It makes me work to accomplish my resolutions because I know I will have to answer to my readers at the end of the year. Other people with 2007 Financial Resolutions:
