Visas for Home Buyers? Just an Idea.

I am no sure why no one has mentioned it earlier. Maybe due to the political sensibility. But yesterday, it occurred to me that we may have a solution for the housing crisis that may help on the Immigration front also. Grant residency to the next million foreigners that buy a house over $100,000 USD, with some kind of priority to undocumented people living and working on the US.
You see, it seems we have about a million houses in foreclosure status. With a slight boost from new clients we can probabily stabilize the market and we may be able to legalize some people and/or bring people with college education – since we do not have enough of those either (most of those who will be able to buy the home may have college education).
As to where they will get the funds? Let the banks determine their credit worthiness. It may be a bit more difficult than running a credit report, but I am sure that if a bank gets proof that the buyer is a doctor or a computer scientist they will feel more comfortable that those guys will find a job in no time in the US. They will also make sure they get the clients in housing markets where those careers are needed.
Then again… my comment will probably start such a political issue that I am sure no seasoned politician would even mention it in Congress. Just an idea.

Awesome! Too bad the politcos and powerful corps. would never let it happen…they rely too much on the cheap foreign labor and have no interest in a long term view of developing human infrastructure…instead of doctors they want grape pickers and the ability to outsource the skilled labor to cheap overseas countries…ie india.
